Concert

Over the weekend Sat(1/28/2012) me & my family had dinner with singers Rajesh Krishnan,Ramya Vaishista and Dr.Shamitha Malnad.


Rajesh Krishnan is a multilingual Indian playback Singer.He is popularly known for his works in Kannada film industry. Ramya Vaishista is his wife & also a singer ,she sings sugama sangeetha.


Shamita Maland is a Dentist & also a famous cine playback singer.


We received Felicitation Award from Rajesh Krishnan. This was to recogniz us for our generous contribution and support towards the promotion of Kannada Art & culture.


Singer had come to give a charity show to build Sankara cancer Hospital in Bangalore. Tickets for this show was $25. We donated $150 to the charity.


Sunday(1/29/2012) we went to see their concert. Rajesh & Shamita sing so well , It was a blast listening to them sing.

Kobarichinni

Ingredients:

1 Cup Hurukadle hittu(Which you use for Coconut chatuney)
1 Cup Sugar
water to dissolve sugar
1/3 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tbs dry coconut flakes
1 tbs kaskas

Method:


1. Take a sugar in a pan , then add water to cover the sugar.
2. Stir it continuously till it is sticky consistency.
3. Now add Hurukadle hittu & stir well.
4.Spread it into a plate greased with ghee with atleast one inch depth.
5.Granish with dry coconut & kaskas.
Note:Shelf life of this sweet is for a week.Enjoy this sweet for Shivaratri or Nagara Panchanmi. Me & my brother use to fight over to eat this.

Raagi Laddoo

Ingredients
Raagi Flour-----------------1 cup
Sugar-----------------------1/2 cup
Ghee-----------------------6 Teaspoon
Any nuts (Almonds,Cashew or walnuts)

Method
1.Heat pan on a medium high and add 6tsp of home made ghee.
2.Once ghee melts down add raagi flour and stir 5 min.Cook on a low heat .
3.Now add any nuts you want ,mix well and cook for another 10 mins till the time nice aroma starts to come out and ghee starts to loose out from the flour.
4.Now turn off the gas and wait till the mixture gets warm ,then add sugar, Make small balls.

Note: Shelf life of this is 15 days . My kids loved eating them, they said they look like chocolate balls. Friends came over for Diwali , they tasted them & complimented me and asked for the recipe.

Project

Its end of Jan ,so thought let me write down where I am & what am I doing. I am doing a android Project with 3 other friends . It started on Nov 3 2011, one of my college friend thought that we are struggling to find the job & we shud do something. Project we are doing abt Home inventory.

I still looking for the job & making new friends so that I have good contacts. My husband is doing a stage play after such a long time that is ,this is his first one after marriage. He is having a good time practicing. The play is on Feb 25Th 2012.I am looking forward to see his performance.

New Year 2012

I know I am bit late to wish you all a Very Happy & Healthy New Year 2012 !! I started my new year with bike ride & good healthy Home made food. I made a resolution that I will keep myself active.
Here's what I want to do in 2012........

3.Be more fun & creative as a mom
4.Travel places which we have not seen
5.Ride my bike every week
6.Keep in touch with friends & family
